Trapani

The “city of salt and wind” is rich in historical and artistic monuments. The various peoples who inhabited the city, the Phoenicians, the Greeks, the Romans, the Arabs, the Normans, the Saracens and the Aragons, all have left a great cultural heritage. It will be a pleasure to discover these traces by walking through its alleys or visiting its museums.

San Vito Lo Capo

Its beach of white sand, lapped by crystal-clear waters and crowned with green palms, has made San Vito Lo Capo an icon of the beautiful coasts of western Sicily. This small fishing village today is one of the most visited destinations for tourists. Our advice is to visit it in September, away from the tourism of mass and perhaps during the CousCous Fest.

Erice

This ancient medieval stronghold, located on the top of the mount with the same name, still today retains its ancient charm, between paved narrow streets and flowered courtyards. Worth visiting the Chiesa Matrice (Main Church), in Gothic style and enriched by a magnificent rose window, and the church of San Giovanni Battista (St. John the Baptist) dating back to the Gothic-Norman period and preserving its original portal. Erice stands out for its artistic handicrafts (finely worked ceramics, weaved bags and rugs) and exquisite almond pastries.

Segesta

It is famous for its temple and its Greek theatre still perfectly preserved. Segesta is also an ideal destination for people searching relaxation: the thermal baths are just 30 km away from our property. An external spring, the so-called “Bagno delle Femmine (bath of the females)”, with the  “polle del Cremiso (springs of Cremiso)” which appear directly from the Fiume Caldo (Hot River), is free and offers visitors an evocative view.

Isole Egadi

From the port of Trapani there are daily excursions to the nearby Egadi Islands. Marettimo, Favignana, Levanzo constitute a still pristine archipelago, famous for its tiny coves with crystal-clear waters, its uncrowded beaches and its incredibly crystalline sea. These are only some of the reasons that make this archipelago an ideal destination for those who love simplicity and wild nature.

Marsala

Marsala is famous all over the world for its liqueur wine. Founded by the Phoenicians who gave it the name of Lilibeo (namely the city off the coast of Lybia), it still preserves its historic charm, connected with those different cultures which enriched it over the centuries. It is characterised by an evocative promenade lined with hundreds of palms, by the salt pans with their typical windmills and by the famous “Stagnone (Lagoon)”, that hosts the island of Mothya.
